Ways to Level Up
A player's level increases as they gain experience points, but there is also a way to level up your hero using more advanced weapons. Players can either buy good weapons from other players or improve existing ones. The latter method is called "item upgrade."
How to Upgrade an Item
- Purchase a weapon from a merchant that can be upgraded.

In your inventory, use the cursor to select the upgrade device (Modifier) that you can buy from an NPC Merchant, and right-click on it.
The upgrade window will appear on the screen (see step 4).

Keep in mind that there are limits on the number of upgrades.
This item can be upgraded seven times (it has already been upgraded twice).

Place the item you want to upgrade into the designated slot, along with the necessary talics and gems.

To upgrade the item, click the «upgrade» button.
A dialog box will show whether the upgrade was successful or not.
To increase your chances of success, place gems that boost your odds into the upgrade window.
Hover over a gem or talic with your mouse to see information about it.
You need to consider the number of possible upgrades. If an upgrade fails, you may be penalized by reducing the number of remaining upgrades.
The number of upgrades you can perform without the risk of losing the item depends on the type of item (see articles on weapons and armor).
