Ways to Level Up Animuses
Animus: The god Decem granted the Cora people power over the spirit world – the Animuses. Once the Chosen reaches a certain level of dark magic mastery, they gain the ability to summon an Animus at will. Animuses differ in strength and abilities, so before deciding which Animus is best for a particular battle, a Cora player should seek guidance from the wise Decem.
Why Animuses Are Needed and How to Level Them
If you decided to become a summoner, think carefully if you have the patience to level not only yourself and all your party members but also four Animuses. It is mistaken to think that leveling a summoner is easy; raw power and Isis alone are not enough. While Animuses level quickly at low levels, this changes at higher levels.
If you are committed to this profession, this guide should help you.
Upon choosing the summoner profession, you can select one of three level-25 Animuses (Hecate, Inanna, Paimon) or an elite beacon. Paimon is generally the best choice, as Hecate is easy to level up to 25, and Inanna can reach level 25 without moving from one spot. At level 40, when you take the Shepherd profession, class skills become available (cross-class characters cannot access them), and you will receive the level-35 Isis beacon.
Animus Control:
There are three keyboard buttons to control Animuses:

«<» - command the Animus to attack
«>» - follow the summoner without attacking
«?» - cancel the Animus's attack
Before leveling themselves, a summoner should try to keep the Animuses' levels equal to or one above their own, providing more flexibility in PvP, character leveling, and other scenarios.
When leveling Animuses on mobs, remember that if the mob is more than 10 levels above the Animus, it will not gain experience.
Paimon:
Many new players ask: “Why use him? He seems useless in PvP, I won’t level him.” This is wrong.
1. Helps efficiently apply debuffs on mobs.
2. Assists in leveling ranged party members.
3. Acts as a tank if the party lacks one.
4. Can farm CP in mines effortlessly.
5. Helps a friend level Hecate or Isis.
6. And more.
Paimon gains experience when he is hit. Don’t worry if he misses attacks frequently. Level him on mobs 8–10 levels higher. Send 1–2 mobs at him at a time; extra mobs won’t give more experience, and quick deaths require waiting for HP recovery (for levels 30–39) or skill cooldown (level 40+). While Paimon takes hits, you can safely debuff mobs or level ranged party members.
Inanna:
“Inanna is like a lover who heals emotional wounds; being near her is pleasant.” – from the official forum.
Situations where Inanna is useful:
1. She helps level BB points, ranged, shield, or defense efficiently.
2. Safely travel through mobs with weapon and ranged armor; Inanna heals if mobs attack.
3. Sometimes it’s better to have Inanna in party quests than Hecate or Isis.
4. Help low-level friends level without using HP potions.
5. And more.
Inanna levels up when healing. Experience gained is the same regardless of healing amount.
Ways to level Inanna:
1. Always summon her when leveling BB, ranged, shield, or defense.
2. Situations from point 3 above also level her quickly.
3. Gather seven low-damage mobs and let Inanna heal while you do something else. Prefer unpopulated areas.
4. Alternate “Sacrifice” and “Purification” skills. Sacrifice restores mana at the cost of HP, which Inanna heals. Useful while waiting AFK or for party members.
5. Heal low-level mobs near outposts.
Hecate and Isis:
Everyone levels Isis; not everyone levels Hecate, but she is equally useful for quests, farming, and PvP.
1. Both are valuable in PvP: Isis deals damage, Hecate stuns and hits frequently, compensating for low damage.
2. Farming: Isis for single-mob farming efficiently; Hecate for mass farming due to her AoE and dodge. Hecate 40+ can solo same-level mobs.
They gain experience by dealing damage. Level them with you or specifically farm them together. Find a friend with a similar-level Paimon; Paimon tanks while Hecate/Isis deal damage. Advanced players may use slow mobs at max distance to train them solo using root and attack commands – it’s slower than party leveling but effective practice.
