Pit Bosses
Is there an announcement indicating who dealt the last hit to the Pit Boss?
No. No one is specifically notified about who killed the Pit Boss. This information can only be shared voluntarily, if desired.
How often does the Pit Boss respawn?
Every four hours. The Pit Boss will not respawn until this time has passed.
What negative effects affect the Pit Boss?
The Pit Boss is affected by all forces in the same way as any other mob, i.e., effects from talics and weapons, as well as possible negative buffs that can be applied to mobs, and weapon-specific features.
Why does the Pit Boss disappear and respawn?
All Pit Bosses are limited to a specific area. When they move outside their territory, they disappear and reappear at their spawn location.
Can another race kill a Pit Boss located in my race’s zone?
Yes, other races can enter your zone and kill the Pit Boss belonging to that location, but the reward dropped will be slightly smaller.
If I attacked the Pit Boss first, can someone kill it before me?
Yes, the Pit Boss is available to everyone. The player who deals the most damage receives the main reward. The player who deals the last hit (regardless of previous damage dealt) receives a reward in the form of experience points (EXP).
All Pit Bosses are surrounded by weaker mobs, but these mobs respawn quickly after being killed. If the Pit Boss is killed, these surrounding mobs disappear and only reappear when the Pit Boss itself respawns.
Players tackle Pit Bosses in groups consisting of high-level players (43+). The easiest Pit Bosses are located in the Headquarters zone, but even they cannot be defeated alone. This is because each Pit Boss has the ability to heal itself constantly while being attacked. Alone, it does not get distracted by other mobs, does not apply fewer self-buffs that enhance it, and does not drop valuable rewards that can be obtained. Only by defeating it can you gain them. The strongest Pit Bosses are found in high-level zones.
If you don’t have a group and are not receiving buffs for the Pit Boss, you will either die, or only a large and strong team consisting of more than one group (party) can succeed.
The quest is credited to all members of the group that kills the Pit Boss, even if the Pit Boss killed any member of that group. Therefore, it is important to form groups when completing Pit Boss quests.
