Opponent Level Indicator
You can check the level information of an opponent by selecting it and paying attention to the panel that appears.
The colored dot system works only for monsters, comparing the player’s level to the level of the selected target. The more dots, the higher the level. This information panel also shows the character class.
- 0 dots = 2 levels lower
- 1 dot = 1 level lower than your character
- 2 dots = equal level
- 3 dots = 1 level higher than you
- 4 dots = 2 levels higher than you
- 5 dots = 3 levels higher than you
- Blue circle = more than 6 levels higher
The panel with the selected character’s class shows which race the highlighted player belongs to — for example, Accretia or Bellato. If you target a monster, the panel instead shows its difficulty: Normal, Elite, or Pit Boss.
Normal Monsters.
Normal monsters are the most common type. Depending on the level, they give you a certain amount of XP and PT points for each successful hit and for each kill.
To raise PT, kill normal monsters with three dots to get the best PT gain per hit. Hunting monsters that are weaker gives less PT, and monsters stronger than you give no PT at all. The stronger the monster, the more XP it gives — but if it is more than 10 levels above you, you will receive nothing.
Elite Monsters.
Great for fast XP gain in a party. They give XP for each successful hit, for killing them, and also an additional kill bonus. When you are in a party, everyone receives XP for each hit and the kill, regardless of who landed the last blow. If you are not in a party, you cannot gain XP from elite monsters. To receive experience, you must be in a party and deal at least 3% of the monster’s total HP.
Pit Bosses.
These are monsters with a huge amount of health, always surrounded by many guards. They are hunted by large groups. When doing Pit Boss quests, it is crucial to team up in a party.
