Cross-Classes

What is it?

Cross-class is a feature that can be used for unconventional development of your character. A player who, after choosing the initial class of the character, decides to develop it along a different specialization branch.

How does this enhance the character?

You have chosen the ARCHER class, but upon reaching level 30 (the time to take the 1st specialization), you decide to become a MAGE. You approach the NPC "Commander" and select the specialization belonging to the WIZARD class, understanding that you will not receive any professional skills. However, elite skills from two different classes will become available to you—in this case, elite Magic and elite Archer skills.

Cross-classing can only be done at the 1st specialization. That is, if you want (using the example above) at level 40 (the time to take the 2nd specialization) to choose a specialization from the WIZARD class (after having chosen the ARCHER class specialization at the 1st specialization), it will be impossible.

How will this weaken the character?

The cross-class will not allow you to use the special class-specific skills that characters with a straightforward progression can boast. In other words, this does not apply to one-time abilities – if a Warrior changes class to Summoner or Pilot, they will still be able to summon Animuses or control MAUs.

However, it will be somewhat weaker at the maximum level compared to characters with a straightforward class progression.

Without a cross-class, at the second class choice (level 40), your character will be forced to select the second specialization of the branch they switched to. For example, if a Warrior chose the Ranger specialization, they will be required to take the Ranger’s second specialization—other options will be unavailable. In any case, cross-class elite skills will not grant abilities from the second specialization.

Conclusion:

Choosing a profession from a branch that does not belong to your starting class allows you to gain powerful elite skills. In return, you won’t be able to use class-specific abilities. If you are Bellato and became a Ranger, think carefully about which elite skills you actually need.

Contrib. Points (PT) and Their Maximum Values:

If you do not use a cross-class, you will eventually be able to raise all Contrib. Points (PT) to their maximum value. However, if you mix two classes, you will not be able to reach the maximum PT for a third class (exception: Strength – its cap does not increase gradually, but is immediately and permanently set at 99).

Examples:

  • A Warrior mixed with a Ranger will be able to raise the Ranged Combat, Melee Combat, and Strength PTs up to 99.
  • A Ranger mixed with a Warrior will be able to raise the Ranged Combat, Melee Combat, and Strength PTs up to 99.
  • A Warlock mixed with a Warrior will be able to raise the Melee Combat and Strength PTs up to 99. The Ranged Combat PT cap at level 50 will be below 99.
  • A Spiritualist mixed with a Warrior will be able to raise the Melee Combat and Strength PTs up to 99. The Ranged Combat PT cap at level 50 will be below 99.

When acquiring specializations, each player receives bonuses corresponding to their chosen specializations.
A cross-class character receives the bonuses of the specializations chosen in the 1st and 2nd specializations (excluding professional skills/abilities).

What happens if I make a mistake?

You can change your class back, or switch to any other class. Changing to a branch of your base class will also grant class-specific skills – your character will become "pure".

On the official server, class changes are carried out for real money. When creating a cross-class, remember that the Specialization Change Capsule only changes the specialization of the selected character, not the class itself. If you use the Specialization Change Capsule and then choose the specialization again, bonus items will not be granted.
